What types of roofing materials do you offer, and how do I choose the best one for my home?
At Streamline we offer Long Run Iron only – corrugated, 5-rib, tray.. the list goes on. Fill out our contact us form to see what we recommend for your project.
How long does a typical roofing project take to complete?
Always depends on the size however a standard house roof can take between 4-7 days from scaffold set up to dismantle & clean up.
Do I need membrane?
Many houses don’t have membrane. If you have an internal gutter or flat roof over an entry or similar it may be used. Refer to our membrane services for infomation.
What are the signs that my roof needs repairs or replacement?
Do you have leaks? Can you see rust forming? Sometimes you may be able to see the screws or nails popping out.
What factors affect the cost of a new roof or roofing repair?
Scaffold. And the pitch of your roof. These are the most common factors.
Do you offer roof maintenance services to extend the life of my roof?
No. We only offer maintenance on commercial property. See here for recommendations on how to maintain your roof.
What happens to the old roof/spouting that you’ve removed?
We remove this from your site & recycle
What is a Fascia?
This is the board behind the external spouting. The spouting is normally fastened to the fascia.
How do I know if my existing spouting is internal or not?
Take a look. If the spouting looks like this then it is likely Internal rather than external
Can you repair my rusted spouting instead of replacing?
Once it is rusted, the spouting is coming to the end of its life. We can replace some lengths but often everything needs replacing once the rusting has started.
Do you do tile roofing?
We remove concrete tiles and replace with Long Run Iron
I think my roof is asbestos. What do I do?
Asbestos is mostly in old style tile roofing. We can replace tile roof with long run iron. We would start by testing the existing tiles for asbestos. If this is positive, we bring in the licensed asbestos removal teams to assist us. Once the asbestos is removed we can proceed with installing a new roof like any other house.
